Can't read any of my mail in beta
Updating my own post from earlier today.
I was logged into my account yesterday via the beta site, and didn't log off, nor did I close my browser. This morning, I went back to that page, and tried to open a message. At that point, I got the big red band and the error message saying the email message couldn't be opened. Had I been logged into the regular runbox site overnight, and then gone back to the browser window and tried to open a message, I would immediately have been taken to a login page, because the normal runbox site logs the user off after a period of inactivity. Once I logged off at the beta site, and logged back in, I was able to read my messages. It seems pretty clear to me that the runbox folks just have to fiddle with the "inactivity" settings on the beta site. The other problem that I described below, the wrong message count showing up in the folder list, still persists even though I have logged off and logged back in a few times. *********** I've just started to play with the beta version a few days ago. I cannot read any of my email messages, in any folder: when I click on a message, I get a big red banner along the top, with this messagse: Error: The message could not be opened. Please see Service Status for possible server problems, or contact Runbox Support at support@runbox.com. As well, the left-hand folder list is showing incorrect information about the number of messages in one of my folders. At the moment, that folder includes only one message, which is unread; but the folder list says it has 10 messages, with 9 unread. When I refreshed the screen to see if that would re-set the info in the folder list, a random message from a DIFFERENT folder opened on my screen! Happy to provide any additional info that the runbox team would like. Shelley runbox login: shelmart Quote:

I did exactly as you asked, and when I went back to the first window and clicked on a message, I was taken to the login screen (Yay!). Do you anticipate that, if a session is timed-out due to inactivity, the user will now be taken to a login screen rather than being shown that cryptic warning on the red bar? Also, any thoughts on the other issue I reported in my original message, re the folder list on the left-hand side displaying incorrect message counts? |

Refresh oddity
I'm logged into runbox beta via Firefox 3.0.10 on a Mac.
Strange things are happening when I refresh the page. No matter what folder I'm in before I refresh, I end up in my folder "Kommercial" after the refresh. Not sure if the problem is related to another problem that I reported in an earlier post today: but the folder list is showing incorrect message counts for the "Kommercial" folder. All my other folders appear to be showing correct counts. It's quite disconcerting to be in the Inbox, to hit Refresh, and to end up in a different folder! Following advice in earlier posts for similar problems, I clicked 'switch to basic webmail', then clicked again to go back to Ajax. Now, I remain in the same folder when I refresh. And the weird count in the one folder is fixed. Shelley Last edited by shelmart : 26 May 2009 at 07:50 AM. Reason: forgot something! |

If it doesn't, could you open http://www.monsur.com/httpstatuscodes/test.html and check what the actual value is for 302 Found? Thanks for the help! |

Regarding the folder count, the system is not entirely finished (e.g IMAP is not yet updating the folder count properly). Hopefully this will be fixed soon. |

Feedback Round Two
Time for a bit more feedback I think.
I'm using FF 3 and Chrome 1 with a screen res of 1280 X 800 1. Folder names with unread mail in them are not going bold. This has already been mentioned but I'm not sure of the outcome? I would def like the folder names to be bold as it is in RMM 4. 2. Compose Window scrollbars When I compose a new message (or reply) the window that opens has vertical and horizontal scroll bars. The send etc buttons are at the bottom and I have to scroll down to get them. Also the address book is half hidden on the left and I have to scroll to see it. Please can the size be set to that I can see the whole of the window as I have to resize it every time. 3. Empty Folders If a folder has no messages in it can it say "There are no messages in this folder" where the message list would be. Currently it is blank and I think this looks like something has gone wrong especially if you click on the wrong folder by accident and are presented with a blank list by surprise. 4. Empty drafts folder. My drafts folder is empty in the beta but has 45 messages in it in the current webmail. Is this related to the message count problem? Lastly: Quote:
The other day I just couldn't find a mail I was looking for in webmail. In desperation I setup IMAP on the PC I was using and found it in seconds. Hats off to Runbox, IMAP was lighting fast but a lot of time was wasted messing around. If this feature could be added it would be very much appreciated. That's all for now! |

To make sure everything works, I tested your account by creating a draft. The drafts folder appeared...yay! |

Beta interface problem
Sorry if this is the wrong thread for this.
First an odd not very important thing: I was logged into "regular" Secure Runbox https://secure.runbox.com/ and then I clicked on a Beta Runbox link in this thread I was suddenly in non secure beta looking at my mail. Changed the http to https://beta.runbox.com/mail and it loaded ok. The problem I have with the Beta (both http and https) is the top menu "Webmail Manager Contacts Files Chat (beta) Account News Help Logout" On the old version as I run my mouse over the menu items I get the sub menus: Webmail produces "Compose" and "Preferences". With the Beta as I run my mouse over the menu items the sub menus are hidden by the line below: "Webmail: /Inbox (183, 1-183) Last refreshed 02:50:00" I can see the top edge of the submenus but nothing useful. Running Opera Version 8.54 on this machine, have not tried it on my other machines with newer versions of Opera. |
