Since this is a site with members from around the world, most of the restaurants I would post would be unknown to many others. I hope this thread doesn't appear to be just spam (spurious commercial advertising).
Today I ate a late lunch before a National Space Society meeting (I'm an officer of the local chapter) at: Spring Creek Barbeque - I had BBQ brisket, BBQ sausage, green beans, pinto beans, a couple of rolls, and unsweetened iced tea Bill |

Took my family to the Sit N Bull Restaurant last Sunday, located in Barangay Barretto, Olongapo City. I had a Chicago Sub, 8 inch French loaf, with shaved smoked ham, salami, pepperoni & Italian dressing (had mine on the side), lettuce, tomatoes, onion and pickles. Fresh ground coffee for drink. Masarap!

Today I had lunch at the Corner Bakery cafe in the Las Colinas development area in Irving, TX (suburb of Dallas). This is one of the two Corner Bakery cafes near me. I had a chicken pomodori hot sandwich (similar to a panini), a harvest salad with greens, chicken, nuts, cranberries, apples, etc., mixed fruit cup, and lots of unsweetened black current iced tea.

Oh, I’m retired and keep restaurants busy.
Today I had lunch with a friend at the 54th Steet Grill in Lewisville, TX. I ate summer salad and chicken tortilla soup. And, of course, unsweetened iced tea with lemon. Bill |

Yep retired too. When once again to the Sit N Bull, wife my wife and grandson, oldest daughter met us there. I had a Sit N Bull Breakfast, two eggs over easy, added a third, home made hash browns, sausage patty, English muffin with butter and blackberry jam on the side. I don't normally eat dessert, but today I tried their apple pie ala mode. She forgot to heat up the slice of pie, oh well, to late once the ice cream scoop is on it, still good.

The last restaurant I ate at was Old Cellar Bled, in Bled, Slovenia.
That was the day before yesterday. It was good enough to visit a second time, the night before our vacation ended and we went back home. It serves mostly traditional Slovenian dishes, as do many other local restaurants, but this one was better. Another restaurant from this trip that I can recommend: Sloven ska Hiša - Figovec, in the center of Ljubljana. |
