Still, for those of us not capable of the Nightly Tester trick,
it would be helpful to have a updated version of the toolbar...

Can we hope for such?

Great -- could you email it to webmaster@you-know-what so I can update the Runbox Firefox Toolbar page?

Just emailed it Geir, and btw not trying to state the obvious, but i assumed you-know-what to be runbox.com.

One note, I only edited the extension so that it work on versions of firefox up to 2.0. I actually thought the extension would solve my html reply problem, but it didn't, so i have only tested if it works. I would reccomend that you test it properly, b4 posting on downloads page.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Runbox Toolbar for Firefox (1.x - 2.x)

I have updated the install for the Runbox Firefox Toolbar so that it should install for all versions of Firefox 2.x.

Hello Rich,

Ok, I have never been able to use it before but I have been using regularly now and here are some suggestions, let's hope you don't mind them

- To be able to check the check interval time. For instance, it would be great if it was possible to only check every 10-15mins (for my needs)
- To select a given folder. Right now, you can select all folders or inbox, but it would be great to be able to select a given folder thanks to a dropdown or even by entering the folderID in the preference screen.

Just my 2 cents.
Ludo

P.S.: Rich, if there is a way to manually edit the toolbar to do the above suggestions, especially the check interval time one, I'm a taker

Hi Ludo,

I only updated the install script (install.rdf located inside the rmmtoolbar.xpi compressed archive file). I've never really looked at the Java code for it.

I still use my Runbox Toolbar which is written in JavaScript and worked for Firefox, IE and Opera (at least it did at one time ... haven't tested with all the current versions lately).

The XPI file is basically just a ZIP file with a different extension. If you rename the rmmtoolbar.xpi to rmmtoolbar.zip you can easily uncompress it using any program that can uncompress a ZIP file.

Once you uncompress that you'll find the rmmtoolbar.jar file which is another compressed archive format. You can find a number of programs to decompress the JAR file. Once you do that you'll be down to the source code.

Regards,
Rich

Ok, it seems pretty straight forward, I just need to find out the right parameter to send and I should be sorted

Cool Runbox toolbar

I am seeking to install the Runbox toolbar in my Firefox 2.0+ browser. While I did find the link and installed it once, the wording for "please log in to your account" remained and did not indicate the number of messages notice etc. Is there a flaw or what is the latest please advise...
