blank mail

Hi, I just received a blank email from a friend (yahoo). My wife received the same email on gmail, and my name was shown, yet the mail that I received had no subject, and was essentially empty. I there a reason for this happening? And is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Thanks

Exclamation Scrambled mail / dying server?

I'm having the same problem in increasing quantity. I think one of your message databases is scrambled. All I receive is a scrambled from line
and sometimes some other header info, but never message body. It is not my email program, because it looks the same in webmail and it is not the sender, because these are a) frequent correspondents and b) cc'd copies to other mailboxes go through fine.
I think you have a dying server on hand? Please advise immediately, I'm gonna have to switch my mail to another service for the time being, as I'm loosing about 30% of my mail by now. Here is a sample: (this is ALL I get with full headers)

Me too!

I'm having the same problem! 5 messages so far have shown up with "No Subject" in the message list, and no body when I view the message source... I can see who sent the mail and what time, but nothing else. ACK!!

What do you see if you use the "View Source" to view the raw contents of the message?

Rich

I hope that runbox does something quickly, because I am losing each and every email I receive--no message body in them.

I have the same issue. At first I thought it was spam but there was a few like it from places I would usually receive emails from so I thought I'd check it out here.

Any reason why it's happening?

[Edit] Decided to include more information after seeing more posts on this. I know that two of my emails didn't come through. They're both of the form something at something dot domain dot com. No body or subject.

1st message full heading:

It looks like we have exactly the same "view source" content--no message, just some headers.

Red face

Here's another taken from webmail directly (the previous was from Eudora w/ full headers) - this is everythign in the message, it's stripping the body and scrambling the headers...my guess a infected or hung mailstore... (off course I'm a armchair quarterback here)

Post not a spamfilter problem

BTW, I don't' believe this is a spamfilter problem, because some of the senders are in my whitelist and should not be affected by a broken filter.
