Question for you-Any NEW changes at Tuffmail
Hello,
I have not heard Tuffmail being discussed on the EMD forum for some time (since August 2010). Is anyone currently using Tuffmail? Has there been any changes to the service, etc since the company has been under new management (according to the two EMD threads below)? http://www.emaildiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=60101 http://www.emaildiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=60055 Just curious. Thanks for any information. David |

No changes: rock solid as ever for me. What seems to be missing from other IMP implementations that I've tried is the Virtual Inbox feature, where shows any new mail delivered to any of my subfolders/aliases in one big "virtual" e-mail box. That's a big plus for me right there.
I do periodically back up both Hotmail and Tuffmail to my local hard drive using Mailstore just in case. |

It is my understanding that a user must host his own domain mail as no tuffmail domain is available. Is this correct?

http://www.tuffmail.com/trial.php?account_select=1 I am under the impression, that tuffmail does have its own domain available, and you don't necessarily need your own. Assuming this information is correct, I dont know if they have more than one domain available to use. David |

Tuffmail used to offer email addresses (I did have one @tuffmail.co.uk but I never renewed it), however looking at the sign up link, it seems that has returned.

Thanks David and walesrob for your info. Perhaps I'll check them out. If I decide to try Tuffmail, I hope the setup has been simplified.

I am giving tuffmail a try. Seems fine so far. In my opinion adding pop3 and auto forwarding would greatly enhance the service, bringing it up to FM and RB and Google's level.
