@glebarr: My anthropology blog resembles your science-blog, but it's "handmade" and kind of beta:

while you might not be able to understand my older blog here, I guess

At the risk of giving away my political standing, my personal blog is http://deaniac83.blogspot.com , which is not exactly a political blog, it's kind of a personal-political blog... I post there what I want to - kind of a diary - and a big part of it being politics, there's inevitably some of that.

teacher, go make a blogger account! It's very easy. As long as you have some webspace to FTP your blog, you can do it. After it's set up, it's as easy as typing email.

I actually have a few...

* a writing-related LiveJournal
* a non-writing LiveJournal
* a blog on my site (one for all posts, and one just for the serious and semi-serious...and I had a blogger, but found that it was more fun to install b2evolution/Movable Type and tweak those to my heart's content

Oh, and I have one at eeism.com, but I'm not sure what I'll do with it yet!

Thanks! A reason to continue developing the site. I hope more people start publishing their papers online, and counter the ongoing commercialising of the net

I hope so, too! Originally, I was interested in the internet because of the research qualities. Looking up/finding information is one of my 'hobbies', if you can call that a hobby.

I've got one, too. It's new. I don't really have any plans for it. It gets political, too, though, which is why I hesitated posting it, but here it is:

I'll probably get stoned for this, but I'm with Dan on this one... Actually I'm reaching the point of getting seriously disturbed at Blogs as every time I type in an obscure search phrase in Google, I have to wade my way through a bunch of blogs first before reaching any 'real' pages.
