New FastCheck version 2.3 - Required update

Hi,

I have just released a new version of FastCheck.

This version implements the new FastMail.FM security (logon) API.
As the old API will soon be obsoleted, older versions of FastCheck will stop working.
Therefore, this is a required upgrade for people who are using FastCheck.

Eric

So this may explain why FastCheck logs me in to the old-new interface on /beta/, and not to the new-new interface...

v2.3.0.0 still opens "pre-Christmas beta" rather than "AJAX beta"

Eric, both old v2.2.0.0 and new v2.3.0.0 versions of FastCheck log me into the old beta Fastmail web interface when I choose "Use beta server" for the Web UI on the Email Application option screen. This is happening when I have Firefox set as the default browser, even after I clear the Firefox cache and cookies. When I manually log into beta.fastmail.fm, I get the new AJAX interface, so somehow FastCheck is using a different method which results in the previous beta user interface (before the AJAX update in late December). It reports (beta: r#22857).

Does this happen for anyone else using the latest Firefox? Is this a bug with the calling method, or is this only happening in my FastCheck installations (in Vista on two different PC's)?

Hadaso, was your report for 2.2 or 2.3?

Bill

OT for this thread, but...

Sadly the FastCheck forums are infested with a few spams, including two of those "Homework Help" spams. Not nearly as many as a few years back when there was a vast flood, but some.

The situation isn't helped by the fact that the forum software doesn't have a "Report this post" link, or if it does it's hidden, which defeats its purpose.
