Android Email Settings
I'm having problems with my Email settings for Runbox on my Android Phone. Incoming works fine but outgoing doesn't work. Says connection error. I have Gingerbread on a Samsung Exhibit II 4G phone. Appreciate if someone can give the full SMTP settings for Samsung Android phones. Thanks.

So it's mail.runbox.com and not smtp.runbox.com????
What about the Security type? SSL, TLS, accept all certificates etc.? |

If you want secure outgoing mail through runbox on an android try
SMTP: secure.runbox.com Security Type: TLS (always) PORT: 587 Require Sign In: Ticked Authentication Type: Automatic As I mentioned, I'm using the free K9 email client and these setting work just fine. If you're using a different client, like the stock email then your mileage may vary. Last edited by MPB : 6 Apr 2012 at 05:31 PM. |

The correct SMTP settings for Runbox are: Non-secure settings: smtp.runbox.com on port 25, 26 or 587 Secure settings: secure.runbox.com with TLS on port 587 and SSL on port 465. Kim |
