Hotpop: Down for anybody else?

Last 2 days I've gotten 0 emails.

Well, actually i've gotten 4 and wouldn't you know it, they were all junkmails.

I tought last month when it shutdown for 2-3 days would be the last time it would happen but it seems to be more and more frequent now.

Perhaps it's time to switch over to another POP3 free email service.

Is there one similar to Hotpop outthere but with less server problems?

Lionrampant is very stable, we don't have a free account as such but a fully subscribed account is free for the first 12 months with no obligation. That is potentially £35.88 worth for free!

Connectfree I believe is meant to be an isp only pop3 service but it may be wortwhile checking with them, the same goes for the last one as well as it looks to be intended for their isp customers.

I have used and still do, all 3 for years and hotpop too.
I do not have an ISP account with any of them.
Pop mail has always been very reliable. Only hotpop goes out once in a while.

Delivery on my hotpop.com account is slow right now, but so far everything arrives eventually.

Ditto.

I just hope that nothing got lost when they went offline for those 2 days. But, how would I know, right?

I hadn't noticed that they had gone off-line.

But it can take a while for a message to be delivered. Right now I'm waiting to receive a test e-mail that I sent 30 hours ago.

Seems they're down again.

Do they actually answer those support tickets you send?

I think i've sent 3 or 4 in the time i've been with them and never got a reply.

What would be nice is that they would use their "news" section for their site for you know actual news like when their server is down.

Would seem like a no brainer to me.

At a minimum, delivery of messages is very slow. I just got an email that was sent 2 days ago.

In the past year or so, I've created support tickets to inquire about non-delivery and spam problems, but the requests appear to have been lost in cyberspace.

I personally gave up on them a while back due to unreliability and used other services instead, this is what I would recommend other people do.

I reactivated my account at hotpop today and sent two test emails and none of them arrived.

Very disappointed. Shouldn't people be warned to not sign up?

Sad that they are accepted on Edwin's list. They are not that good to be on that list?

Thumbs up Better late than never

My hotpop account has slowly come to life again.
Yesterday I was receiving 3 day old emails,Today I am receiving 6 day old emails.
What is with this type of delay?
Maybe in a week or so it will catch up.

At the risk of repeating myself, my biggest complaint with HotPOP is the UIDL.
