For information: messages sent or deleted by IMAP stay with this message in the beta:

And impossible to delete, move, open, etc ...

I'm still seeing this fault in beta 23082. I've moved to Fastmail from Gmail and all of my migrated messages have the "Loading..." displayed, can't open, move, delete them, etc.

This problem has not reappeared for me. Maybe a problem of browser cache (?)

harimanjaro, can you PM me your FastMail user name, and I'll take a look? I thought we had this bug fixed.

Thanks,

Neil.

Not likely to be the browser cache as I only joined Fastmail on the 31st January. It was all fixed by the time I sent Neil my username, anyway, so it seems that something has been done, somewhere. Thanks Neil, one happy user here.

Hi,

I have the same problem as harimanjaro, migrated emails are showing up as "Loading...". Tested with different browsers, always the same, r#23346.

Thanks,
Alex

Is there anything in common with the names of the folders which don't work? What browser are you using?

Thanks,

Neil.

That's similar to what happened to me when I clicked on folders with apostrophes in their names. Also Firefox 10.0.2. But I thought that problem was fixed in the latest beta (r#23346). Perhaps your folders have a different special character in their names?

Yes there are spaces in folder names. Ex: XXXXX XX XXXXX

Firefox 10.0.2, r#23431, I don't seem to have any problem opening folders with spaces in the names.

Problems when moving messages to folders whose names contain spaces

Yes, some things dealing with folders are still not working correctly in AJAX beta r#23431. I can confirm that any new folder cannot be accessed, no matter what spaces are in the folder name. Existing folders which have spaces in them (such as first last) are fine. All folders and their contents are visible on the current normal interface.

The order of actions seems to have an effect. Try this with the beta AJAX interface:
  • Go to Options>Folders.
  • Create a new folder named XXXXX XX XXXXX (as a sub-folder of <Top-Level>), which contains two spaces.
  • Click Save Changes, then go back to the Mail screen.
    • You can see the new folder, but if you click the folder you can't view the contents.
  • Now move a message from some folder (such as Inbox) to the new folder.
    • If you click the new folder, you will see the single message for a fraction of a second, but you immediately are returned to the Inbox display. So you can't read messages in that new folder.
  • Then go to the Options>Folders screen again, and change the new folder name to remove the spaces, so it is named XXXXXXXXXXXX. Save the changes.
    • Now you can view the contents of the new folder, but it says Loading... forever.
  • Move another message to the new folder (whose name now contains no spaces).
    • When you view the new folder, you can see the new message, but the earlier one (moved when the folder contained spaces) still says Loading...
