Here's what my Billing page shows now:
Your Standard (Personal Enhanced) plan next renews on Sat, Oct 22, 2022. We’ll bill you $100 for another 3 years. festus |

Another very important thing is email disappearance: Posteo, Protonmail and Gmail, when I used to access them on IMAP, did not show all the messages, and some were "lost" when moved between folders and between accounts. This has NEVER happened with Fastmail. |

I see that, in addition to pricing increase, the 5 and 7-year pre-payment options are gone now as well. I'm just hoping the changes don't screw over those of us who have been with FM since the very beginning.

Just a tip about renewing under a legacy plan.
I was confused by the options until I asked Fastmail support, and thought I'd pass this on. On your account billing screen, if you want to continue under your Legacy plan at $100 for 3 years, do not click any of the buttons under the three current (new name) plans. That will transition you into a new plan and price. Instead, click the Change Plan Length button, and renew through that for 3 years at $100. That works out to $2.78 a month, which I am entirely happy with for the service that Fastmail provides. There are lots of places in major cities where $2.78 isn't enough to get you a single beverage, but for the same price I can get an entire month of trustworthy ad free email under my domain. |

First time in a long long loooooong time at this forum, and good to see some of the old names still active. Years and years ago I was a huge FM fan. I was among their first users, I suppose. Then my Member account - which was supposed to be around forever - was closed by FM. I'm sorry to see they took the path they did. I'm sure it was discussed here and I missed it. Price increase...pfft.
Anyway hope everyone's doing fine and had a wonderful Christmas. |

Hello.
(I'm sure that it's been said before, probably on this thread as well.) It is what it is. Get over it. Either stop griping and move to another provider, or bite the bullet and stay with Fastmail. As a former (and present) Fastmail critic, I have sought and tried alternatives (especially during the Opera debacle), but never found any alternative that had the features FM offers for the money. I've tried Rackspace, GSuite, Office365, ZoHo, 1&1, euMX (paid), Polaris, HMail, Runbox, and many others. I still have two Runbox accounts that I would use exclusively, if and when, RB is ready for prime time. Not too hopeful that it ever will be. By the way, I used to run my own SMTP servers, but no longer bother. Now, I rely on FM and, when sending to problematic GMail addresses, my grandfathered GSuite account. Good luck to all. |

Please elaborate on what you disliked with Polaris. I'm using a legacy Fastmail plan and thought a basic account with PolarisMail might be a good alternative if Fastmail no longer meets my needs.
