I'd think you were joking around if you weren't living in Singapore. Sesame Street is a children's show with puppets (some of them later belonging to a group called the Muppets, and they did a show called the Muppet Show).

Here's how Sesame Street got it's name:

How did Sesame Street get its name?
After a long search for a catchy name, one of the show's writers suggested Sesame Street. The name "Sesame" was meant to conjure up a sense of excitement and adventure, as in the Arabian Nights command, "Open Sesame!" Because the show was set in an urban street scene, Sesame Street seemed an ideal combination.

Is that the answer to the question you were looking for?

There IS a Seasome Street here in Houston, where the local PBS station that airs the show used to reside But they relocated to another area a few years ago though.

I used to love sesame street!!!

I thought it started going downhill in the 80s when the secret about that SNUFFEL animal wasnt secret anymore..... I thought it was neat having a secret pet!

Then in 1992 it went to total crapola

I recall when Mr. Snuffleupagus was revealed to be true. I still think it was a poor move on the part of the writer's.
