What's up with Sneakemail.com ?

I've been a long time user of Sneakemail. About 6(?) months ago I tried to help a friend start using it and got this message "Sorry, account creation is currently disabled" trying to create their account. I've checked back several times, including just now, and it is still disabled (for New accounts). Note: existing users are Ok, everything still works.

So my concern as a long time user is Sneakemail getting ready to go away?

I've asked their support and was told they were having trouble with spammers using the service and ruining their reputation which was causing their domain and users to be black listed. Ok, that's good they are addressing that issue but shutting out all new users seems counter productive in the long run. If I use and rely on their service I want to see them healthy and prosperous.

So... I'm still using Sneakemail but with long term concerns I'm starting to create new addresses at E4ward.com. However I'd like to know what's going on with them. Any comments?
