Thanks, Runbox
We've gone through some rough times over the years as you've continually upgraded hardware and software.
But for a long time now, things (on the IMAP email side anyway) have been running smoothly with no problems at all. Thank you for that, and long may it last! My only complaint at this time is that I continue to occasionally find that Runbox is blacklisted for SPAM. How can this be? It's a *premium* email provider. All of the big free guys are never blacklisted and it's probably fair to say they have the highest number of spammers. Go figure. - Randy |

Glad to hear that re IMAP!
You're close to the answer when you call them the big, free guys - almost no one dares to block Gmail and Hotmail, no matter how many spoofed spam mails they see which claim to be from there. But few people have heard about runbox, so if they see a bunch of spam with fake/spoofed runbox addresses as the senders, they probably won't think twice to block us, often. Bonafide spam hardly ever comes from the address which happens to be in the From line, and blocking domains based on spoofed senders is downright ignorant. We do have the occasional spam outbreak (usually someone with a paid account who inadvertently let crooks have their login, or a bulkmailer with insufficient adherence to the rules), but we have a plethora of safeguards in place to keep this to a minimum.
