Junk Mail Filters not redirecting?
Am currently getting a lot of Junk Mail (identified as {SPAM 08.50} etc. on the subject line) delivered to my inbox, rather than being routed to the Junk Mail folder.
Some Junk IS being filed into Junk Mail, but according to my rules, the ones ending up in the Inbox should definitely be placed in Junk Mail folder. Only started happening in last couple of days. I currently have my Junk Mail set to Custom settings, where Score > 5 goes to Junk Mail, and Possible Span (Score > 5) has the subject changed to SPAM 99.9. So, why is spam with an identified score > 5 not being routed to Junk Mail?? |

Any one else getting this problem?
Am sure Bron has other things (like sleep) on his mind currently, but it looks like a glitch to me ... Ed |

Now it's just bugging me ...
OK .. more info needed to help resolve perhaps.
I set my filters to "Aggressive" for the past week, and sure enough not an awful lot of email got into my Junk Mail folder since it was prob discarded immediately. But STILL, this morning, I got an email through which was flagged on the subject line as having a spam score of 9.5, and it was delivered to the Inbox, when according to the rules, it should have been filed to Junk Mail. Here's the full content of the header for that item of spam (with my email adrs removed for paranoia!): Return-Path: <5hok@louiskoo.com> Received: from mx2.messagingengine.com (mx2.internal [10.202.2.201]) by server4.messagingengine.com (Cyrus v2.3-alpha) with LMTPA; Tue, 26 Jul 2005 05:54:31 -0400 X-Sieve: CMU Sieve 2.3 Subject: {SPAM 09.5} =?windows-1251?B?ze7i6O3q6C3h4Oct5ODt7fv1z/Du4u7k6ugt1sHDyMHExMLdxA==?= X-Spam-score: 9.5 X-Spam: high X-Spam-hits: BAYES_60, DCC_CHECK, HELO_DYNAMIC_DHCP, HELO_DYNAMIC_IPADDR X-Resolved-to: ed--------fastmail.fm X-Delivered-to: ed@------------.com X-Mail-from: 5hok@louiskoo.com Received: from cpe-69-203-142-103.si.res.rr.com (cpe-69-203-142-103.si.res.rr.com [69.203.142.103]) by mx2.messagingengine.com (Postfix) with SMTP id B9173A6E271 for <ed@------------com>; Tue, 26 Jul 2005 05:54:25 -0400 (EDT) Message-ID: <29c001c591c4$442f6f6d$60dac18c@louiskoo.com> From: erroll bernhard <5hok@louiskoo.com > To: ed@------------com X-Spam-orig-subject: =?windows-1251?B?ze7i6O3q6C3h4Oct5ODt7fv1z/Du4u7k6ugt1sHDyMHExMLdxA==?= Date: Tue, 26 Jul 2005 09:31:39 +0000 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset="windows-1251"; reply-type=original Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express V6.00.2900.2180 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2900.2180 I've not set them back to "Custom": Definite Spam > 10 = Discard Probably Spam > 4 = Move to Junk Mail Possible Spam > 4 = Change Subj to {SPAM 99.9} Any ideas? Boy do I feel sheepish ...
:|
I blame Outlook Thanks to Bron and Kurian for realising the level of my stupidity. Outlook 2003 had created a "Junk E-mail" Folder, FastMail was looking for a "Junk Mail" Folder, which for some reason was not there (used to be!). Ergo, no mail filed into the non existent "Junk Mail" folder. Doh!! It's the little things ... |

I cannot access my Junk Mail or Trash folders on the fastmail website so I think there may be a problem with them. When I re-set my folder list in Outlook Express the two folders don't even show up but they are there on the webmail site. My junk mail is currently re-directing to my Inbox instead

Thanks - I tried creating a Junk Mail folder - I can now access this folder and the trash folder on the webmail site but again they don't appear in my folder list when I refresh folders in Outlook Express - I'll contact support
