Scheduled upgrade and service interruption Thursday 22.10

We will be upgrading two core servers Thursday 22.10 at approximately 8:30 AM CET (2:30 AM EST). This will cause a service interruption of POP and IMAP services for approximately half of our users, and of the Beta Webmail for all our users, lasting up to 30 minutes (probably less).

The upgrade will double the memory to 16 GB in the new application servers that are under deployment, and should significantly improve the performance of both POP, IMAP, and web services once both servers are put in production.

We will perform the upgrade as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

We have started the upgrade process and our email services will be inaccessible for most of our users for a short while.

We have completed the actual upgrades and both servers look good. We should be resuming normal operations shortly.

The upgrade is now completed and all services should be responding normally (or a little better than normal) again.
