@37.com ceasing service
hello
i have an email account with 37.com and have discovered that they are ceasing their services in June http://www.37.com/ i am trying everything to transfer my emails. i have tried a few clients with no success. i am not sure what the pop server is as the service is provided for by everyone.net. i am not sure if the service has a pop server really. all i know is that you can assign a pop server to the 37.com account and check external emails, so this indicates to me that if you can do it one way there must be a pop server for the other way is there any way of recovering my emails. thanks |

The fact that a service can collect external mail via POP3 is no indication that it also offers a POP3 server to download e-mail.
Everyone.net tends to offer POP3/IMAP access only for premium accounts. http://www.everyone.net/mailplus There are older mail "scrapers" that download mail from the webmail interface, but I don't know of one that works with the Everyone.net service. Good luck. |

All Everyone.net services use the same IMAP servers. imap.everyone.net With your 37.com username and password in any desktop email client.

You need to put your full email address as the username. i.e. username@37.com

Has anyone heard of plans to relaunch this domain for email purposes, hosted by another email provider? The domain is very neat ... Bit of a shame that someone lets this one go (I realise EveryoneNet is probably not to blame, but it's still a shame)

I don't think they will open it as a free email service. This company earn a lot from its games operation. |

As I said at the beginning, Everyone.Net allows paid access to IMAP.
Personally, I would write to the e-mail addresses on this page -- http://www.everyone.net/email-company/contact.html -- and ask if you can get a paid plan for a month to rescue mail you have on the server. Maybe they will be nice to you. |

Shouldn't this thread be moved to Early Warning?

Doesn't @37.com provide customer support or at least a FAQ with server names for POP?

37.com won't let me in - HELP PLEASE! DESPERATE
Quote:
I know i've put in the correct password and username (which must include 37.com right) but its saying one or both is INCORRECT - and its not, i've even tried every other password it could possibly be, but no, still nothing. I ticked 'remember me' so i always click through. I have clients desperately trying to get hold of me and can't get in my email account, so annoying!!!!! HELP! I know they're shutting down next month but had no warning about this. I can't see any help email so have tried contacting everyone.net, still no reply. I'm absolutely desperate and in panic I NEED TO ACCESS THIS ACCOUNT!!!! HELP! PLEASE! ANYONE?! |
