New Mobile UI on Beta.
There's a new mobile interface now available on our beta server. It's based on the new desktop interface and as such brings lots of improvements like conversations, better search, faster switching between messages etc. To get it, just go to https://beta.fastmail.fm on your smartphone, make sure the "Use classic interface" checkbox is not selected (this will take you to the current mobile UI), and log in.
We've been testing it in iOS6 (with Safari) and Android 4 (with Chrome/Opera/Firefox), but if you use something slightly less common, feel free to try it and let us know how it goes. Post any thoughts, comments, suggestions, or critiques in this thread. Neil. |

This might be obvious, but I can't find it. Using iOS6 (Safari)...how do I logout? Thanks! Edit: Nevermind, found it! Folder list, tap the title labeled 'Mail' and 'Logout' Last edited by rohanrns : 19 Jul 2013 at 09:22 AM. Reason: found it |

Message width
Can't zoom text in or out (two fingers). Two ticks on the screen doesn't expand text to the width of the screen. It does that on the current mobile interface.
Tested on Android 4.1.2 /w Chrome. |

Does not scroll all the way
I've been using this beta exclusively on my iPad and iPhone, mostly (maybe only) with Chrome. I like it.
On long pages where I have to scroll to the bottom (say, when writing a long email, or clicking on something at the bottom of the page), it's not (or maybe chrome isn't!) letting me scroll all the way down. I was just typing an email where I couldn't see what I was typing - it was under the keyboard (on my ipad, have had the same on my phone) and I couldn't get it to scroll up into the visible area. Fixable? |

HTML Formatting and Hyperlinks Lost on email Forward
I receive certain emails that contain table formatting and some hyperlinks.
When I forward these emails using the Mobile Beta UI, the formatting is lost as are the hyperlinks. One link is inside the table. The other link is just in the plain email body. Both are https links. Both are lost. Edit: Android 4.04 Chrome for mobile Last edited by gardenweed : 9 Sep 2013 at 09:40 PM. Reason: operating system info |

The hyperlinks are stripped away when I forward the email. It is only specific emails that I am receiving that do this. I can't repeat this action myself by sending myself an email with a hyperlink and then forwarding it. When I try this, the hyperlink is retained. So this phenomenon seems to happen to a specific set of emails I am getting from one client. They are transmittals created by TeamBinder with links to documents for downloading. These links disappear when I forward the email using the mobile interface (Classic or new), |

Not very useful for someone who likes a desktop client and would like tablet capability on occasion. It's still the web page with lots of wasted space. I've been having trouble with my eyes, and though I can enlarge each page, the size reverts when I click any link. The wasted space problem is magnified by the need to magnify.
I'd love to see a really good tablet client -- Kaiten seems to be the best but still lacks a lot. But then I want an excellent desktop client too, and those no longer exist. Edward |

Beta -> Classic when accessing Notepad
When in beta, if I go to Notepad, I get put into the Classic interface.
Once in Notepad, hitting the tab for mail takes me to the Classic interface. The only way to return to the Beta UI from Notepad is to use the "back" button on the browser. |
