Just in case anyone wonders, themes have not been enabled on all accounts. I assume they have been rolled out only on certain servers and the rest will follow.
I currently have themes on two accounts but not on three others. |

Love it!
Chose "Summer Beaches" for one account; chose "Pebbles" for another. While it's not cold and gloomy where I am (at least not today), I wanted something to remind of the warmer days of spring and summer. Something of nature in the background. |

Personally, I find the whole "changes through the day based on your local time" thing kind of creepy.
I know Google pioneered that notion in iGoogle, and it must work for them, but still. . . . |

Just what I need, another feature to make Gmail load slower than it does already. (Thanks for the information, though.)

Lately I've been "borrowing" a broadband connection on a fairly frequent basis, but even then the newer interface loads more slowly than I would like, but unfortunately I don't usually have the link to the older interface handy there (and my memory isn't good enough to memorize it with any confidence, but of course it would take "extra" time to type it in even if I did), so I have to login to the new (default) interface then click the link to get the older one (which I prefer apart from the speed question, as I just prefer its simplicity and "less-cluttered" look), which of course takes even more time.
But I guess I'm the outcast here, as apparently most people prefer "pretty" over simple and functional. But as I see it, if I have to wait for "pretty" to load, I might as well be waiting for Yahoo's ads to load. |

Get a hosted Gmail account and you won't have to worry about themes. You won't get any.
