FM Email Notice

THANK YOU FM =

FM sent an email of a short outage coming up. All of you may not get one as it's only on one server. Those on the server should get one. (unless your filters block email from messagingengine)

Again, thanks. I have plenty of time from now to Sun AM so it won't be any problem for me. In fact I am now setting my pc alarm clock to check mail just before the set time.

OK, so that's a real message? I've gotten so I don't know whether to believe any unexpected incoming email from 'official' seeming sources is real.

I believe it's real. There's nothing in the headers or in the message to indicate it isn't. They're not asking for any personal information like a phishing email would and there is no attachment. Also, it came to my "real" email address that only FM has/knows.

Also, the following post from Rob says they have some memory chips to put in and must have decided not to wait to do it.

One really slow server today

Well, it's sunday and night for pretty much everyone except Europe, so it seemed a good time - plus we're both free Sunday evening Melbourne time.

Server 4 would appreciate more memory

I've been out of state & when I checked my mail, I didn't even take time to notice, but you're right Sherry. It came to my *real* address too.
