Yes, I am mourning the loss of the Clean and Compact UI that I shared with the community (RIP):
http://fastmail.wikia.com/wiki/NewIn...an_and_Compact

and now it takes two or three times as many window scroll-downs to see the messages that I have displayed.

What a fiasco!

Oh Quilleron, I am mourning it too (see my post http://www.emaildiscussions.com/show...6&postcount=24). You made the switch from old.fastmail.fm bearable. Do you have any plans to update Clean and Compact so that it works with "Classic"? Is this even possible?

I'm asking publicly rather than via PM, since I'm sure there are others interested in your answer.

Take a closer look; it may depend on your browser, but in mine Clean and Compact now results in missing links at the top (Options etc.). FM has changed the programming for the UI of the Classic interface so that custom stylesheets don't work properly anymore. I had to disable mine in order to get all links/buttons back.

Edited to add that now that FM has re-enabled Classic themes, it is possible to use Clean and Compact alongside the "Concise" option--the stylesheet is hobbled but usable. Links to "Settings" and "Help" still disappear.

I believe that Options have been replaced by Settings and Account on the right hand side.

Oh perhaps I see the problem, if your screen isn't big enough then the Mail-Files bar can overlap and hide the bar on the right hand side.

Exactly! And was not an issue for me until the rollout.
