In what way will the new Exchange Activesync system be better than the current one?

1. it's not based on z-push
2. allows for faster sync. we timed it to 1-2 seconds ourselves
3. lets you add the account in Outlook 2013 as ActiveSync in case you don't want to use MAPI..

We have been a bit quiet here but have been hard at work behind the scenes. I am glad to announce two big changes that are coming in the following weeks:

- replacement of our current filtering method by Sieve. This will allow you to import your rules from other providers and design much more customized behavior
- implementation of true Exchange / Outlook integration via OpenChange, without any plugin/extension in Outlook.. People that wish to have Outlook groupware and much better ActiveSync support will be quite happy with this one

Stay tuned and e-mail support@polarismail.com for any issues
Just wondering, have the features promised in 2012 ever been implemented?

I'm unsure, but I can tell you guys this much.

We have launched a file storage service, similar to DropBox and running off ownCloud.

Every existing ( and future ) PolarisMail user ( regardless of account type ) has access to 5GB of storage space:

https://files.emailarray.com/

The data is available via the web interface, desktop client and mobile client. You can also share and edit the data.

Login with your existing mail account and let us know what you think!

Cool. Is this integrated with the webmail clients so you can save attachments to and add attachments from the filestore? Is there sftp/ftps or webdav access?

You said similar to OwnCloud and Dropbox... Does it support file versioning? Do you've a client for linux? Does it do incremental back-ups?

I read it as it is built using OwnCloud ("running off ownCloud") so it would support whatever OwnCloud supports.

However, I'm unable to get it to load. Is it loading for anyone else?

2012 folks, long time ago. There were 2 main issues I can remember:

Showing log of all emails sent from and received on the server for my domains in a consumer friendly way; from address, to address(es), subject, date/time.
Hiding/substituting sent mail IP for Polaris IP's.

Ultimately, they implemented one of both log reports I think (send or receive, can't remember), and I remember reading here something about the IP through the webmail but not through imap, or vice versa. Long time ago.

Been very happy with eumx customising my email exactly the way I wish
