Android App Issue?

I tried to get into my email last night on my mobile.

I could not login with my password which was really really weird. I clicked the Can't Access Your Account? link. I reset my password. It said I'm not allowed to login until 24 hours after the password reset. What in the world??....

I tried this morning but still nothing. It's saying invalid p/w.

So I come online on the computer. Enter my new password and I'm in. What gives on mobile? (edit: I've updated the app and still cannot get in).

They just updated the UI so perhaps that stuffed something else up.

Should one do this periodically as preventive maintenance?

Clear cache is redundant when you do clear data.
