Inbox Folder & Define Rules Problem

I set up rules for each of my alias to route the incoming mail in to specific folders other than the Inbox. However this results in two incoming emails:
(1) an email in the correct folder as shown/defined in my Rules
(2) ANd another copy (duplicate) in my Inbox.

The rules are defined that if my alias is shown in teh To/CC filed to place in folder X.

Please help.

Do you also have a forwarding rule?

One other thing I have learned: BCC does not always behave as desired. (See this thread for additional info.)
