What is the exact difference between family and buisness account?

Can someone explain to me in the detail what is really difference between family and business accounts?

I found this:
https://www.fastmail.com/help/ourservice/pricing.html

And this:
https://www.fastmail.com/signup/business.html

Why are business accounts so much more expansive than family?

This is the official explanation given eight years ago, hope it's still true:

Family and business accounts are similar, the main difference is just the name and size of accounts that they each can hold
Business accounts have roughly twice the disk space of family ones, which may explain the price difference.

I believe that you know what does "business" mean. In a business, you have to deal with customers, so you need to keep yourself up to date.

FastMail provides more storage and services on basic accounts too, like full mobile support and calendar sync which is not the case in family accounts. That makes the whole bundle expensive.

You can think about following question yourself and it'll help you a lot. Sometimes people call it brainstorming too.

"How many of my cousins use a calendar in email via a client?"

Hope it helped.

Don't dig graves, please. Specially don't try to dig graves which are impossible to search.

-tribute to a blog without a search

I thought family plan also offers calendar support.

All types of accounts (personal, family, business) offer CalDAV at all price levels except the cheapest (Lite/Basic)

So I guess I am still not sure the real difference between business and family...
It can't be the calendar sync option.

First option: read this post again
Second option: read the pricing page and figure out the difference yourself.

I am at a point in life when I have people hired scribing for me.

But that goes off topic. Janusz link was helpful. Thank you.

There is at least one other possible benefit of a business account and that's around retention:
