I wish, re US office! Hopefully eventually. But for now I just strongly dislike Norway and spend as little time there as possible.

Out of curiosity, why do you say you hate Norway?

Well, I've identified as American for a long time, and Norwegians in general are increasingly oblivious and greedy. The oil has saved everyone (except for us export based companies) from the recession hitting the rest of Europe, and don't think for a minute that people show any gratitude for that... Also, it is more boring than death.

Trip: Thank you for the kind words! And congrats on the new company and the ski career!! I checked out the video -- very cool stuff, man!

I've done a fair bit of downhill/slalom in my time, but my skis looked really different, lol! Maybe we should hit the slopes and you could teach me some new tricks.

Really great to see you back -- I have often thought about what you did for us and you deserve all the success in the world, my friend!

Looking forward to your email, and you're more than welcome on our IRC channel anytime of course.

Welcome back, Trip and thank you for beginning such a wonderfully nostalgic thread! It reminds of the forum in the old days when the world was somehow simpler.

I've also been largely absent from the forum of late, although this is mostly because I haven't had much of interest to post rather than any intentional absence. I still enjoy reading the Runbox forum.

Great to hear from you too, Liz. Your comments about Norway hardly inspire a would-be tourist; I'm still hoping to visit one of these days.

Anyway, glad to hear from so many of the 'old' crowd in a single thread and even better to hear that everyone's going well.

Hi Henry!

Great to see you here again too!

Don't let Liz scare you too much -- Norway is still an incredibly beautiful place to visit (perhaps another thing we take for granted) albeit very expensive...

And I still hope to visit Australia (and New Zealand) some day and finally see all those crazy animals first-hand (no I don't mean you personally)!

Hope all is well with you and that life is treating you well, my friend.

Norway

Three years ago I've been 7 days in Norway.
What I can say is: Norway is definitely the most beautiful country I've seen!
True, I haven't seen them all but I did visit a lot...
I'm surely looking forward to visiting Norway again (this time for a longer period than one week )
(Oh, and welcome back Trip )

Oded.

I just dropped you an email and also said "hi!" on irc.runbox.no as well, Geir!

Looking forward to getting back in touch and seeing how I can contribute to the team!

Cheers for now,

Visiting Norway is fine, yes, if one can afford it.
