Polarismail Outlook plug-in - where to get?
Does anyone know where to the get the Polarismail plug-in for Outlook which enables calendar sync?
I Googled an old link to a Polarismail downloads page for funambol but it was 404. I have emailed Polarismail support but in a bit of a hurry as I need to choose a provider quite quickly. I am going to try the Sourceforge download for funambol, but wasn't sure whether Polarismail have a specific version or something. Thanks Stuart Last edited by stuartb : 8 Aug 2013 at 07:16 PM. |

Not getting very far. I downloaded the 143MB open source Funambol package from Sourceforge for which the description says:
"The software in this repository is the open source version which consists of a sync server, clients/apps/sdks for mobile devices and computers, and connector software to interface with other systems. and sync your pim data and media from your phone or tablet to your Mac or Windows Computer, supports Outlook." I can't find any Outlook plug-ins in the installed software. I found an admin guide for Funambol and that just says "download the Outlook client from www.funambol.com", but I can't find any download pages on their site. I may be being dumb, but if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks Stuart |

Still no reply :/. Does anyone happen to have the PolarisMail Outlook plugin? My version of Outlook is Outlook 2013?
I've submitted a service inquiry with PolarisMail but after an initial acknowledgment, I haven't heard anything (but its only been twelve or so hours). |

You can find the Windows client here...
http://sourceforge.net/projects/funa...6.exe/download There is also a much larger download but that's the one which was no use. Also - do not just go to the page and download as it will download the larger (wrong) package. You can go the page on SourceForge and then click on Files and navigate down to this path if you prefer. That is correct. We are in the final preparations to offer native Exchange connectivity. We are quite excited about this!

ActiveSync support will be pretty much the same, although a bit more responsive. But the biggest difference is that Outlook will be able to connect and sync via MAPI instead of via plugin/connector. In essence, Outlook will think it's talking to a real Exchange server.
