Question Retrieving email from Yahoo via POP server

I'm looking to consolidate all emails to a Runbox account by enabling a POP fetch. One of the accounts from which I want to draw email is a Yahoo address.

When I attempted to set up the fetch, I received the following warning from Yahoo:

Quote:
Your account is currently not enabled to sign in from apps that do not meet modern security standards (ex. Older versions of mail and calendar apps such as Outlook). As a result, we prevented a sign in to your Yahoo account (xxxx).
The email continues that I can allow apps that are "less secure" with an option, but that this is not recommended.

Are there any security risks that I should be worried about here? Or to get these emails to the Runbox account, should I just set up auto-forwarding from Yahoo's side?

No. The reason you get the warning is that they want the app connecting to their app to use Oauth2, but we use POPS.
