interesting that it's down for about 30 minutes now (in the us for me as well) and only 5 posts here and no update on the status page.

There have been too many outages in the past year (at least 3) of over 30 minutes' duration. FM's regressing back to 2006 in terms of reliability.

Maybe Fastmail has finally died.

If they've lost all the emails then I'm in deep crap - lots of essential stuff for me in my email box. I think I'll use Yahoo in future, Fastmail is too unreliable.

ugh. yahoo, the ultimate spam magnet. i have a very unusual last name, but a yahoo addy containing it that i never used anywhere managed to get inundated with spam within a few months of its creation. i'll never go back to yahoo

i've been with fm since 2002, and i don't recall problems with lost email. just too many outages through 2006 and well, this year.

Maybe because it's Sunday?
I hope there is some person responsible working on FM side now...

However, it is dissatisfactory to post an explanation after every of the many outages occuring in the past few months. Simply stop them....
