I thought FM was a reliable service, but not only am I blocked, I'm receiving no communications from them whatsoever.

I have recently written some long essays that were to be for publication but are now inaccessible. Not"reliable" at all. Not even the courtesy of a reply.

Have you filed a support request? In the login area, click Can't access your account? If you have a current (paid) account, you can use this link to file a support request and get direct support from Fastmail staff.

You should also check your backup email account. When you signed up at Fastmail, you were given the ability to set up a backup email account to receive messages from Fastmail when your account is locked for some reason. When you get access to your account, you can change the backup email address on the Passwords & Security screen.

Thumbs down Support Request

I did file a support request, no answer. Absolute stonewalling!

Forgot which backup email I used; it was a long time ago, but still I tried EVERY backup email I have and I still get stonewalled.

No communications from FM at all!

Fastmail can't communicate with you at your backup email address configured in your account setup if you don't know it. They can only assume that the true account holder knows that address. They have to be very careful to not give access to your account to someone else.

If you have a paid account, they should respond to your support request when their staff get to it.

Thanks

Thank you all for your replies.

Does FM always reply to support requests?

If so, I'll just wait, although I will never again trust FM or any other service. I just want to retrieve my essays.
