Reporting posts on this forum - FYI

Referring to this post, in which there was a link to an image that showed forum members email addresses:

The link was removed, but FYI the image showed a screen capture of a Fastmail inbox. The capture included a dozen emails in this format:

Subject: Reported post from EmailDiscussions.com
Forum member screen name (mailto:forum member email address) has reported this post: etc.

My post is intended to make forum members aware that their email addresses are included in the reports to the moderators.

Yes I am sure people are aware of this.....

Sometimes staff might want to send an explanation or what not to the reporter...... It really isnt a big deal..... Usually the iinfo is only shared with staff........

No, I’ll change my address to an anonymous one on this forum.

I expected this to remain on the website, but it is sent to every moderator, even those who are no longer active? Then it depends on how carefully these emails are handled by these members. And one already didn't.

I can't see why a moderator would contact you by email, I assumed it would be via a PM on the forum.

That's also a good point about the absentee moderators getting emails containing members addresses. Why continue to send them reports if they have no interest in the forum anymore?

I agree; that would make more sense.
The caveat being the user would have to have PM notifications enabled.
