Will my email always be received using a Non-Fastmail personality?
Will I have any problems with an email sent from my Fastmail account using a Non-Fastmail personality e.g. XXXX@yahoo.com?
In other words, will the receiptant's mailserver possibly reject my email because I didn't sent my email from yahoo.com but Fastmail? |

No problem sending from different address
Welcome to the EMD Forums, elgata!
In general, you won't have any trouble sending with Fastmail when specifying a different From address. But if the recipient looks at the full headers, they will see that the message was not sent from Yahoo servers (to use your example). To make you feel better about this, I performed the following tests, sending from the Fastmail web interface:

I have seen rejections in the past because of that; it seemed as though AOL in particular would reject my email if I tried to send it from FastMail with a non-FM from address. Since I got my own domain, and have FastMail host it, those problems have disappeared, as far as I can tell. It's been a long time since I've tried it, though.
