I use a Blackberry 8700 a quad band smartphone. It has great reception, wherever you are in the world.

It does not suck, ever

If you want more privacy, don't use the internet.

Same here.

Nokia Lumia 1320 (WP8.1, 4G, 6 inch display) as a pocket computer.
Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen (Android, Dual SIM, 5 inch display) as a 'phone.

Both 'phones chosen as they get regular OS updates quickly.

Why 2 'phones?

Because I can!

I use Android phones since T-Mobile G1 because it's "full of Google service". My son tried to talk me into an iPhone in 2008, but it's "too full of Apple" big brother oversight for my taste...

As an avid Linux user I had great hopes for Android (when it was first released) - sadly these have been mostly stamped out.

Owing to a unique work environment, I have an iPhone 6 Plus, a Samsung Note 4 and a BlackBerry Passport on BES12 Cloud Beta. As far as email is concerned, the Passport absolutely dominates the former two in terms of flexibility, security (due to BES12 management), ease of use and UX.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, with Cyanogenmod. The phone is literally twice as fast without all the Samsung bloatware and carrier-specific apps.

Cyanogenmod also allows me to control the exact permissions for each app, so most of the apps that request access to my contacts (for example) only ever see a fake, empty list
