Can you create a YouTube account with a non-Gmail email address?
In order to upload some videos to YouTube and/or comment on existing videos already on YouTube, you obviously need to create an own account which then can serve as your own YouTube channel. Can this be done without using an actual Gmail address?
I always learnt to use the internet by using services seperated from each other, not too many services integrated into one package. I still find it handier when my email account, my social media, and other online presences aren't all connected. If anything goes wrong, at least the damage is limited too. |

I think so I used to be able to use Google Groups with a GMX email address .Google creates a Gmail account to compliment it but you don't have to use it

Would be handier without an extra Gmail account, too many email accounts to check (which are not used for other purposes anyway) is a drag. Would be easier if I could just create a Google account with a non-Google email address.
