Some sent emails are not in Sent Mail folder
I am using Thunderbird version 115.7.0 (64-bit) on a Windows 10 PC. Many times when I send an email after several days it does not appear in my Sent mail or All mail folder.
Today, Feb 21, 2024 I tried to find an email I sent on Feb. 4, 2024 and it was not in the sent mail or all mail folder. This is very frustrating. I checked on the Gmail website under my email account. I did a search for the person's email address that I sent the message to and there was nothing in the Sent, Trash or All mail folders. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to correct the issue? Thanks very much - Bill Last edited by artman : 22 Feb 2024 at 12:55 AM. |

Since you mention "All Mail", I assume that you are talking about GMail?

Are you using IMAP or POP3 protocol?

I'm not familiar with Thunderbird. But, I believe getting all the symptoms is half the cure.
When you say "after several days it does not appear", does that mean that you can see the email initially, but it later disappears? Is it just your Sent folder, or does other mail disappear as well? Are you accessing your GMail account from any other programs, accounts or apps? Possibly one of these is accessing your account via POP? In your settings for POP download, do you "keep Gmail's copy"? https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/fwdandpop |
