I am now considering cancelling my outlook dot com account. The reason being is that I had booked an hotel, and had used my outlook address (for confirmation) The confirmation email never arrived but I was able to give a different address for this, which solved the problem.

I afterwards tried to log in to Outlook, but the site seemed to be DOWN.

An hour or two later (when Outlook was back up and running) the message had still not arrived...

It is unlikely that I will use outlook again - for anything that is at all important.

I will mention that my outlook mail was set to forward to my GMail account.

Ever since my account was migrated, I've encountered numerous flaws and bugs here and there, and after almost a year they still haven't fixed them, seems like they just don't care anymore. I'm moving away from their services.

No problems here, yet. I was migrated to the new Outlook service a few months ago and it is much better then the old, outdated playskool interface. Feels like the full OWA Exchange experience.

guess you don't use the "connected accounts" feature. Since the upgrade, it's just not working, it's been over a year and no fix.
