We’ve updated our Android app to address several widespread bugs with the message composer. Your phone should download the update automatically. Spot problems? Let us know!

Android app updated and now it won't accept my password, does not give me a password error, just refreshes back to the login page over and over. Using a Samsung S8+

Is the Android app still a wrapper around the browser? If so, maybe clearing the browser cache will eliminate the issue.

This was suggested by someone with this problem over on FastMail's twitter:

I had the same thing, always bringing me back to the login screen even with the correct password, I had to clear the application's data from the Android settings to make it work again. Hope that helps.

Had this with a previous update of the app. Delete app and reinstall will help.
I think this is something like clearing the cache.

Same error on the same smartphone. Problem fixed by uninstalling/re-installing.

faster

So far, it seems the updated app is like, er mud off a shovel, whereas before it was unusably slow. I'm returning to it having had to forward everything to a Gmail account (complicated reasons to do with my MX records why I couldn't just use the Gmail app to access FM on the app).
