Looks like a major network issue. Massive packet loss when I ping various servers.

Are the FM IMAP servers supposed to have outages once per week on average?

The status Blog was the first thing I checked. Very disappointing that it's not being used for its intended purpose. What's the point of having it?

I PMed Bron so hopefully someone will pick up the problem & post here or on the status site soon.

It's been down for 30 minutes now & no news or apparent action - very sad.

Looks like Fastmail is down.

When you click on it it just hangs there.

Any idea what is happening anyone?

Hopefully it will be up soon.

Same problem here. Both web interface as IMAP server. No mention yet on http://status.fastmail.fm/

Bron is working on it. Apparently there are networking issues. (But we figured that out didn't we.)

Do they have a twitter account or some other alternative update location that isn't on the fastmail servers or using the fastmail domain? Twitter would be very useful for status updates in this kind of situation. They wouldn't need to spend a lot of time on a post, just give us SOME idea of what's happening.

Slightly O/T: is it just me or have these outages been happening more frequently since Opera took over? I don't remember even noticing an outage before but recently it seems to be almost a regular occurrence

Two days ago all file uploads on the old interface were down. I checked the status blog - nothing. Today nothing on the status blog on this down. Like the person said, what the hell is the point of a status blog?

The FM outage before opera was the same amount but stayed one or 3 days (remembered the 2005 or 2006 #fail ^^)

Down for me; also very disappointed the status blog is not updated. As a customer (paying) - I not only have the outage to contend with, I have to do my own troubleshooting?
