Opportunity, a competitor to LinkedIn?
I received in my mailbox an invitation (not sure whom invited me) to join "Opportunity". The email was sent from a mail address with domain myopportunity.email . They claim to be a professional network with networking options and job advertisements in a wide range of countries.
In other words, a bit what LinkedIn is already doing for many years. I wonder if this is a scam or if this is really a new social network. On Wikipedia I couldn't find any page or info on a network named "Opportunity" or "MyOpportunity" (tried it with and without space after the first two digits) So I'm not sure whether this indeed an interesting competitor to LinkedIn or a scam. I never heard of it anyway, I also couldn't make out of the invitation what they do differently than LinkedIn... Also I wasn't actively looking for a new job at the moment, and I am unsure who invited me to this new network. But anyways, I wonder if this is indeed real, and what this new network is about. If it really focusses on job networking, then what's new? LinkedIn has been doing that for years and is very widely accepted in the professional world... |

Do a websearch for myopportunity.email scam and draw your own conclusions.
