fastmail have never claimed to have redundancy against data center failure afaik.

Not reassuring...according to http://status.fastmail.fm/, this makes 2 outages in a month...I hope this isn't a return to 2006.

It seems a network problem.
Redundancy helps with data loss, not interface troubles...

No - not to 2006. The last one was a crazy network card in one host nuking the internal network. This time it's the external network, and we're not even sure where it is yet. YET! *sigh*.

This would indeed be a meaningful step of high priority, im point of view. Opera doesn't have to have so many outages than FM, so at least for backup purposes (for a payed service) this could ensure not to lose any email that is being received during the outage...
