I love infallible sources. They're so....infallible. LOL

But I wonder, is there anything one can't find at least some information on at wikipedia? Although I might have to wonder who actually takes the time to write complete articles on matters of such overwhelming worldwide importance as these "common" expressions. But thanks for doing the "research" for me

I was equally surprised to find out they had been around since the 50s.

Kind of like the Titanic was unsinkable. (I once saw a documentary and a women who was on the ship and was 6 yo at the time said, "The Titanic was a testimony to man's arrogance. To say that a ship is unsinkable...")

My user name is one you see me use in many forums or as Sea Witch, Seawitch. It's also the name of my website.
An ex merchant Mariner, a Witch and an Artist who paints mostly Pagan and Marine themes, well, what chance did I stand?
Besides, it helps encourage people to go 'see wich artist' I mean!

Ex merchant marine or not, you should at the very least have a Sailboat called Sea Witch

Shaftspice is my usual one, a strange conjunction from a time when Isaac Hayes (... John Shaft) meant a lot to me and those pesky Spice girls seemed to be everywhere.

Do you guys remember a self help book from 1970 or so.

His name was Drew. But to my surprise even women can have that name.
Maybe even more women than men have that name.

What it means? I have no idea. Most likely there are sites explaining such.

Yesterday I longed for to see small movieclips of the Crow family.

One that look cute is named Kaja in Swedish. JackDaw or maybe JackDow in english. But in Czeck ??? it is the same name of a famous writer.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz_Kafka his surname is the name of that bird.

The famous Shoe maker in Finland has a name that is common first name of boys. Karhu. That is same word as Bear in Swedish Bjorn.

Name is surprising.

anyway. I am so tired of writing Drew so I think of to log out and
flush the cache and delete cookies and history and start all over
with nooby as username. I'm known as nooby on Linux forums
so it would suite me good to be nooby here too.

I hope dear Moderators and Edwin has nothing against it.
I will not use drew again so no trouble with threads or anything.

I used to have my CV posted online, but I think that is gone now. Sometime in the future I'll find time make a personal website again, and then it will probably be online again...
I'm still waiting for your CV, Ofer. I found a start here, just as you can find the source of my username here. Oddly, if you search the index for me, you would have to know that Lane is my middle name (just no street attached). Looks as though you are an algebra chap ... I started in differential geometry and then morphed into statistics.

Nope, that is a new one on me. I could try asking my daughter, who just finished a M.Sc. in Psychology ... no, she's not helpful either. I guess that's just one of those things I'll have to take a pass on in this life.

I was naive when I posted my real name on a board. It was a disaster.
So it has nothing to do with being paranoid at all. It is basic sound
precaution to not get stalked by nuts. Recommended by all security
advisers I've read or hear and see on Public Service.
