Chocolate cake, squares, muffins, and cookies, combined with a glass of saki, would (most certainly) bring college students around in droves.

What goes with a cup of saki is a roll of MAKI sushi. Yum!

If all those foods were LAID out nicely on a silver platter, I think anyone (including Bill, who is following a diet atm) would find it very difficult to resist eating some!

If you are ever visiting San Fransisco, I LAUD the Samovar Tea Lounge. Have a bite outside on the plaza if the weather is nice. Every bite and sip was excellent when I was there five months ago.

I checked the link and it looks like it is a nice place for a leisurely lunch if you are in a relaxed, LAZY mood, and want to just have a nice visit with some friends.

During my trip it was a bright sunny day so we sat outside at their tables on the plaza. But in San Francisco there are many HAZY days where you would choose one of the inside tables.

Your post made me think of the song: Purple HAZE by Jimi Hendricks, which is apparently a song about how he felt when he was falling in love with a girl.
The reason it made me think of that was merely because I was thinking of what word I could use and when I thought Haze, I made that connection, nothing at all to do with the restaurant! If I go go San Fran in the future, I will be sure to look up that restaurant though, the revues are terrific! |

I was in middle school when that song was released in 1967. Maybe you were in a DAZE thinking about the failed prediction of the end of the world today when listening to Jimi's lyrics: "Is it tomorrow or just the end of time?"

If a modern day band were to re-make that song, they could incorporate a MAZE into the video, with a purple mist, fog-effect.

Ah, but GAZE at the Kronos Quartet whipping up their great version nearly a quarter of a century ago -- I find this exciting without special effects. And Jimi was a special effect all by himself.

That performance is a musical delight, and GAVE me the opportunity of enjoying the piece from this artistic perspective. Thanks, Bill, they are terrific.

Here's a big "howdy" to all Jimi Hendrix fans and a WAVE from Texas.
