Whitelisting
Whitelisting a domain or a specific address continues to be a hit and miss for me. Many times it still end up in the bulk folder. The only sure way I have found to ensure it doesn't is to add the address to my address book. Many of the emails I get from stores I deal with or newsletter I have signed up for go to my bulk unless I have added the specific address to my address book. This is not easy to do as they frequently come from different parts of the company.

The Runbox Whitelist and the Runbox Address Book are both used to generate the whitelist used by the spam filter so they "should" work the same.
I know we've had some issues with Spam Assassin whitelist matching that seems to occur when there are invalid characters in the "From" address, such as the address ending with a tick (`) character. If you have any specific examples we can look at it would be helpful. Just submit a support ticket at http://support.runbox.com with the folder, subject and timestamp of the message so we can find it. Regards, Rich |
