I can see why some concern was raised by emebrs. If you were not one of the users with access to a beta account, you might think erroneously that MXroute is relatively new, it was in beta, and now it's closing

I still find it confusing but I can only assume that whatever kind of account I have will continue.

Even though mxroute.org has been shut down, it still shows as an active service in the Account Overview of my admin control panel.

Just a heads up because I know a lot of you guys here use the service. Today we identified a bug in our DNS cluster causing us to fall back to our registrar's DNS while we rebuilt the cluster. At some point the registrar (name.com) simply began returning no value for the DNS entries for mxroute.com. This is rather unfortunate, and a fix is in place that is subject to DNS propagation. An e-mail will be going out about this afterward.

I have a few questions about mxroute, if anyone can answer them:
1. Does it support two-factor-authentication? If not, is there any ETA? 2. How many aliases can we get in our own domain? 3. Is there a free trial? 4. To people who've been using mxroute, do you think this works well for a main e-mail provider? 5. Do you guys know anything like this based in Europe? Last edited by 17pm : 21 Sep 2014 at 11:44 PM. |

Do those emails have to be in the Spam folder permanently, or can they be deleted after a short period of time? Also, does the spam filter do SPF and DKIM checks?

You can create all of the aliases that you want, however you cannot send from them. Enabling this ability on a shared server would require either a strict selection box or enabling you to type in the address. That box would at least need to be compared against your list of aliases and locked to your domain, as sending from other domains on the server would otherwise be possible while passing SPF checks. This is also not something I see us overcoming anytime soon. |
