DNS Settings
My domain name is not resolving correctly, and I'm not sure whether to blame my DNS provider (Namecheap) or my webhosting provider (ITHost).
www.scottflorack.com does not resolve correctly scottflorack.ithosts.com (the unmasked address) works fine I have a domain registered through Namecheap and am attempting to control the records by establishing a seperate field for the MX and A records. For two A records, I have the IP address of the two name servers of ITHost. Is this correct? Thanks in advance! |

Are you using URL forwarding (redirect or frame)? In that case you have to enter the url scottflorack.ithosts.com.
If you are using your webhost for DNS, then enter IP addresses of their DNS in the DNS section. |

I am not using URL forwarding; I'm establishing an A host record under Namecheap that points to the IP address of my webhost.
Sound right? |

Hi,
Shouldn't the A record point at the IP address your hosting company assigns you for your website? not their name servers? A |
