Google Print: another one bites the dust

Quote:
Google has announced plans to close down its Cloud Print service over the coming year.

The Mountain View goliath today told punters that, effective January 1, 2021, they will no longer be able to use the service to remotely print documents. Netizens are advised to spend the next 12 months finding and setting up a different way to print.

Google kinda makes me upset. They took away some good stuff over time and never brought it back. I've never used this Cloud Print service though.

I guess we've all learned that if Google introduces it, they can pull it just as fast. I'm so afraid of my Keep notes though. Oh boy if they ever take that away ....

They have also changed thier SEARCH DISPLAY. It looks ugly and not as nice....... Is there a way to get the older style all the time?? (Sometimes I get the older but mostly now getting the new style which sucks really)

Cloud Print won't be missed by me. It was horrible and didn't work most of the time. A beta that deserved to die.

I tried it once and it didn't work. Luckily the printer manufacturer had an android driver which did work. it may be worth checking if your printer manufacturer provides one.
