Update
65.254.32.58 is my webhost. I have changed over to a different name server and new mail servers, and everything appears to be coming through now.
I am still confused about the message. It said it had an SMTP error, but at the same time say it was spam-blocked, which i guess could be interpreted as a an SMTP error, though not the wording i would use. I guess someone at my webhost on the same shared IP 65.254.32.58 was spamming and got blacklisted? And any mail relayed through that IP was blocked by FM? |

Alka, what do you think SMTP is? Spam is usually sent (and refused) with SMTP.

Elvey, Yes, i know what SMTP is. I suppose i just haven't seen that particular style message before. The word "error" for some reason confused me and made me think there was some kind of connection issue. I usually don't think of blacklisting or rejection via a filter as an "error". Anyway, I relearned something i knew long ago, which is that i shouldn't be relying on my cheap webhost for my MX. This is resolved now. |
