Thumbs down Tutanota is a bugful system I don't suggest to use

I am their premium user, with my own domain hosted there. But it is a bugful system, hard to use, even in the location far away to Germany. They have web interface only, even the mobile app is a web wrapper. The web pages just behave worse in most case, it's slow and no-response. I don't suggest you to buy it.

I have free accounts on both Tutanota and Proton Mail.
My push alerts from Tutanota are very prompt withing seconds or minutes.
My push alerts from Proton Mail often do not show up till 6 hours later.

Of the free services that are secure, Tutanota gives you a lot of storage and a relatively usable interface. It is not the best, but I do use and recommend it in its free form. As for the paid version, I cannot comment and I am sorry that you are having usability problems. I hope you shared your complaints with their support staff so that hopefully they can work to correct the issues. I would love for Proton Mail to resolve the delays in push alerts also.

My two cents.
