Unwanted photo on emails
I get an unwanted photo on the top right side of my emails. I have tried all the ususal advice about dettings and no photo and everything I can think of to get rid of it. I have deleted my own name in contacts which had the picture attached to it.
I believe it comes from an embedded link to a Google site https://lh3.googleusercontent.com. The photo in question is not on my computer so far as I know I deleted it a long time ago. I would happily settle for blocking that photo addresss getting into my computer from the location it is drawn from, if indeed I am correct. Has anyone any ideas. Not the usual - look in settings etc.. Thanks |

I get a 404 as well. Have you tried changing the picture or the visibility settings from within Gmail's settings?
From Gmail's inbox, click on the Settings gear icon and then Settings. In the General tab, look for My Picture. It should have your picture. You can change visibility settings to everyone or only to people I can chat with. Or you can change your picture; if there is no option to get rid of your current, simply change it to an image of your favorite solid color. Hope that resolves your problem. Bump the thread (or my head) if you've tried this already and it didn't help. |
