Contacts

I prefer to manuall insert new contacts. Any adjustment to disable Google's automatticaly adding all new addresses nto my contacts ? My address book or contact list soon is overflowing with unwanted addresses.

Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge Gmail provides no such option. Although I'd be glad to be proven wrong, since that's one Gmail "feature" which I don't care much for either. I have numerous contacts in my most-used Gmail account whom I don't have even a clue who they are or were, but apparently each saved from just one long-forgotten minor message from who knows how long ago.
